macramé: oslo / may 2012

i made this macramé flower thingie as a gift for a friend. it is not easy to find yarn which is suitable for macrame anymore. i guess it was more easy in the 60s and 70s when macramé was a bit more popular...

  ok, i'm back after some time off the blog... and i will try to post pictures more regularly again. these months i haven' had a lot of time. i've moved to another apartment and i have given birth to a fantastic little boy. i haven't had much time for any knitting but i've tried to make our new home a nice and cozy place. here is one of the things i made:

is it a sort of weaving with yarn, beads, plastic and paper ?

a butterfly! tåsen: oslo / march 2012

must be this years first butterfly! it was box fresh, sitting in the sun to make the wings dry up for about 5 minutes before flying away. i never saw this kind of butterfly this early, they usually don't come out before june.
